About Us
A Legacy of Craft and Purity
Our Beginning
A family idea turned into a long-term project
Alpéria began as a shared vision between two generations—a grandmother and granddaughter—who believed true luxury should never feel disposable. We were raised around the quiet excellence of Peruvian craftsmanship, where natural fibers and metalwork carry centuries of artistry. Over time, we grew tired of winterwear that looked luxurious but lacked substance—mass-produced, synthetic, and detached from any real origin. So we chose to return to what Peru has always done best: working with what the earth gives in its purest form.
Premium alpaca garments and fine accessories made to last
The Essence of Alpaca
Peru is home to the finest alpaca in the world, a fiber prized since the time of the Inca for its exceptional warmth, softness, and resilience. Unlike wool, alpaca contains no lanolin, making it hypoallergenic and naturally silky against the skin. It provides insulation without weight, and its breathability keeps the body comfortable across seasons.
Our pieces are made from 100% alpaca and 100% baby alpaca fibers—sourced responsibly and finished by Peruvian artisans who understand the fiber’s integrity. Baby alpaca refers not to the age of the animal but to the fineness of the fiber, chosen from the softest selection of the adult coat.
Ancestral craftsmanship shaped for modern wardrobes
Modern Heritage
Each collection merges timeless materiality with contemporary refinement. Our aesthetic is restrained but expressive—designed for those who appreciate quiet distinction over overt display. We believe true luxury is not about abundance, but about intention: how something feels, where it comes from, and how long it endures.
At Alpéria, every piece tells a story of care, skill, and respect for nature. It’s an homage to heritage, and a statement for the future.
Practices that protect the animals and the communities involved
Ethical Care and Animal Respect
Responsible shearing is central to our work. Alpacas are not harmed in the process; shearing is necessary for their comfort and wellbeing. We work only with suppliers who follow humane guidelines, prioritize low-stress handling, and support the local families who raise the animals.
Our sourcing partners maintain open facilities, follow regulated handling standards, and ensure each animal receives proper nutrition, space, and clean living conditions. These measures support healthier herds and preserve the long-term quality of the fiber, while reinforcing trust with the communities that depend on this trade.
